Reason:

With now 5 territories, the WaW concept locks even more players out from the only real challenging PvE areas than before. Also, WaW doesn't make any sense. The PvE players hate to be locked out from their most interesting areas and most PvP players simply don't care about who has favor (why would they?). Most PvP PUGs don't even notice which territory they're fighting for until they are in the first map.
Here's a better change that goes along with the same basic idea:

Keep the Worlds at War concept, but separate the PvP and PvE aspects.

Right now, PvP dicates whether or not PvE players have bonus areas to explore. The trial is PvP-based, while the reward is PvE-based. That makes no sense, just like you said above. My proposal is this: If PvP players gain the favor of the gods by winning 5 consecutive times in the HoH, then PvP players for that area should get some sort of advantage, not PvE players. (maybe reduce faction costs to unlock items and skills) If PvE players gain the favor of the gods, by doing something PvE-related, then they get access to their areas, instead of having to wait for PvP players to do their thing.

Indeed. If everything was harder in PvE then I think it'd benifit the community by forcing players to either learn to use their brains on a higher level or quit the game because they failed at life.

No.

and it makes new players have a much harder time finding a group doing Hero's Ascent.

Yes it does. Why is there something wrong with this? Why should players who are new to the game, or maybe just PvP, be given all the priveleges and rights as those who have put many more hours into PvP than they have? Experience isn't everything, but it is something important. Why should a player that is at what is designated the rank 9 lvl be forced to join up with random people without being able to see anything about their skill ahead of time? If we had no way at all to gage the skills of other players in PvP, it'd become very frustrating for players who were good because it would be easy for crappy players to get in their groups and then the rank 9s would be stuck baby-sitting the crappy players when all they really want is to play the game at their level. It's frustrating finding groups when you're low level. So what? I had to go through miles of crappy teams before I got enough rank to join good groups. That's just the right of passage in PvP.

There is no good reason to complain about the ranks or fame or say it's pointless. If you suck then you suck and complaining isn't gonna make you better. If you don't suck, you just lack experience, then where there is a will there is a way. If you really are better than the standard skill level of your current rank then you will eventually get noticed and ppl will start contacting you to join their groups and eventually you'll probably find a core group of players that you can play with all the time. If you aren't any better than any one else that is your rank, then you'll just have to stick around with your low rank pals until you eventually get lucky and win some games. I like Guild Wars because it doesn't make everything worth having easy to obtain. It seems like the reward is always proportionate to the time or effort you put out.

Just fix the damn henchies, so they have sense enough to get out of poison water and lava before they drop.

I would say increase the drop rate as well as bring in better weapons for castors that use wands with those on par with PvP with energy bonuses.

-Having 1 GM (With really cool armor, not just regular players.. I want them to look Unique like the skill master) in every city, and in random arenas.

Heheh, I know only 1 but for another... Almost every suggestion in the suggestion Forum.

While I agree that the langauge is disgusting.Growing up in a small sheltered town 90% of the offensive langauge in game would have been nothing new to me by the time I was 7. Plus I'm assuming you have your filters turned off and most kids dont. While going out of your way to introduce kids to this filth is wrong huge numbers of moderators to shelter them from what they will enevitably hear at school and from there siblings is a waste of time.

Any who. I am sick of seeing all the GW l33t hax of d00m that steal your account advertisement everywhere. And More mods to catch them scammers and ebay sellers would be very nice.

Pretty please, can we have it?!?! Serious, people will never behave if they never see a consequence for their actions. If we could have this, it would deter alot of people from misbehaving and save us 'goodie two-shoes' a lot of headaches.

I also agree with Harmony about the ele skills. The only reason the other element's builds exist is because we have people determined enough to play them.

I would like to be able to boot a jerk from a mission, not someone who is just being rude but one that likes to cause mayhem then just laughs while the others die, or the person who holds the gear lever hostage until he gets paid.
Then have the ability to replace that booted player with a hench of your choosing.

I would change Alesia. Why? I hear you ask; What's wrong with her?

1) Doesn't heal herself. Ever.
2) Stands in poison water
3) Doesn't heal others fast enough, even though I know she has the energy.

Reason for this: I can no longer go into the first 2 districts of any major town, (Ascalon City, Lions Arch, Droknars Forge, Deldrimore War Camp..to name a few), because the chat is being spammed with buying and selling. People don't use the "Trade channel" option because they know people like me clicked the "ignore" part so they could actually have a chance to form a group or talk without having to scroll up 10 pages worth of trade chat.

---I think this would not only help people who like to trade, but also would help out people like me that rarely buy anything from other people, or people who just dont want to see that crap all day.
I think that there should be a WTB color and a WTS color, like maybe red for WTS and orange for WTB... cause man what that text is flying by at 200 lines a minute, the eyes get strained really fast.

Pvp players care about taking back favor... thats why lots of them do it, and why do you think there are an extra 3 districts there every time the favor is taken away. Thats one of the points of this whole game, its Guild Wars.... its not Everyone just play seperately and fade into obscurity like all the other rpg's. This has something special, and that is one of the best parts of this game. You should find some friends, make a good team, and go get favor back yourself, rank, fame, faction, and chests are also reward for this.

Hahahaha brilliant, laughed a lot. I used to play Asheron's Call since just after the BETA ended (same with Guild Wars, started just after the BETA =P) and Asheron's Call had excellent community control etc. There were moderators in that game and it worked almost perfectly. Granted most of the Asheron's Call players were over 30 and unemployed, but it still worked

I definately back this idea. There is way too much bad language and behaviour in the largely populated areas in Guild Wars, and I think it's a real problem.

Yeah, sure - that's why most serious PvP players form their team in INTERNATIONAL DISTRICTS where you can't even know which territory the players are in you're talking to. In all my time I have been playing in HA, I NEVER saw someone advertising something like "Looking for a bonder from America to take favor"... People are recruiting PLAYERS not passports. I have never talked to any PvP player who cares for favor or who has it at the moment. Most famous players regularly play for different territories, too.

I also have won HoH - but not for the territory my account is in - go figure...

Some people might interpret some patriotic crap into the Worlds at War concept, but in practice nobody in HA seems to give a damn about it.

A radical idea, but I'm on the euro server and the European districts in HA are usually empty as most people go international... how about removing International Districts from HA, as it is supposed to be WaW? that would certainly make sense to me? I mean you can't visit Guild Halls (Canthan Ferry Captain) in the Lion's Arch International District, so why can we join up with our opposing servers to reach halls? Doesn't make any sense.
